Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless .32 ACP serial number 228536 – pictured with a period box of 7.65mm Belgian ammunition is a well used example from the Belgian Contract of 1915 (which was prematurely canceled.)  This example has the Diamond “A” proof on the left side of the frame to the right of the serial number which was applied at Colt prior to shipment.  This example is also has the Liege proof mark that was applied to non-Belgian produced firearms.  The mark is present on the barrel, visible through the chamber and on the left rear of the slide and frame.
